An invitation to an exploratory journey through the city in search of the interdimensional doors that link the present with the pluriverse of futures of the city from the different neighbourhoods of Bilbao. A call to collectively imagine more desirable, fair and sustainable futures, between the Bilbao we know and the one that could be, from its neighbourhoods and the diversity of people that inhabit them.
Two participatory devices were developed that are halfway between the interview, the game and the speculative design. On the one hand, ‘La Ruleta del Pluriverso’ (Pluriverse Roulette), which helps to raise possibilities from different characters, in specific situations, in the face of unexpected events; and ‘Fósiles del futuro’ (Fossils of the future), where through a mental journey into the future and the encounter with a multiplicity of objects expelled through interdimensional doors, an exercise is carried out in the reconstruction of machines, products or futuristic situations.
