Metabolism of Techno-Financial Worlding

Video-essay. Ongoing

Metabolism of Techno-Financial Worlding is a speculative video essay that explores how finance, religion, and technology converge to instrumentalise uncertainty. Combining Science and Technology Studies, political economy, history, and theory-fiction, it examines how venture capital mobilises scientific legitimacy, fiction, and hype to produce techno-authoritarian worlds.

The film follows the Venture Capital Capacitor, a floating machine that draws energy from an invisible territory called Reality³ to summon techno-financial entities from the imaginal realm into material existence. As these entities stabilise, they reshape institutions, markets, and collective expectations. However, others fail to become part of our world and remain in a liminal state, neither fully real nor entirely imaginary, much like angels and spirits. Through 3D animation, the film explores how the tech oligarchy engineers the not-yet-existent, and how this process disrupts our shared experience of reality.
